COMMISSIONING OF ARTWORK
Do the artist comission artwork based on request ?
Yes , mainly for calligraphy pieces.
Is framing included ?
Most pieces are not framed unless otherwise stated in the description. It is possible to include framing with a minimum top-up Singapore dollars $100, depending on the dimensions and quality of the frames.
What is the fee to commission a piece of calligraphy or painting ?
The fee to commission a calligraphy for a single Chinese word on rice paper (or rice paper card) of dimensions 33 cm x 33 cm is between Singapore dollars $120 to $280, depending on the complexity of the Chinese word. This cost includes backing of calligraphy piece and packed in a mailing tube for collection/delivery. Currently, the artist is exploring the possibility of attaching NFC sticker at the back of the calligraphy piece as alternative to his physical signature.

How long does it take to commission a calligraphy piece or painting ?
It depends on the schedule of the artist and complexity of the request. Typically, commissioning a calligraphy piece is between 2 to 4 weeks. As for commissioning painting, it will take minimum 4 weeks.
You may like to know that the artist is currently employed and hence the commissioning of calligraphy pieces and paintings are usually over the weekends and public holidays.
PAYMENT
Will a invoice be issued ?
Yes, a simple invoice will be issued if requested.
What are the modes of payment ?
The artist prefers cashless payments such as via Wise, PayNow ! and PayPal. For overseas payments, Wise is preferred .
What is the return or refund policy ?
The artist does not practice return or refund policy.
DELIVERY
What delivery options are available for unframed calligraphy/painting pieces ?
For local purchase(in Singapore), the artist can handover the calligraphy/painting to the buyer in person at agreed MRT stations or nearby locations. If the buyer prefers home delivery, there will be an additional charge of Singapore dollars $50.
For overseas purchases, it really depends on the destination and courier services.
What delivery options are available for framed calligraphy/painting pieces ?
For local purchase(in Singapore), the artist can handover the calligraphy/painting of dimension 40 cm x 40 cm (or smaller) to the buyer in person at agreed MRT stations or nearby locations. If the buyer prefers home delivery, there will be an additional charge of Singapore dollars $75.
For overseas purchase, it is not possible as it will be extremely costly and difficult for the artist to manage.
